Happy Tuesday!
The design team are sharing 12x12 designs they have recreated in a TN format with the Love Noteskits. First up is Traci with a lovely layout based on a 12x12 sketch.
“12x12 Sketches are so easy to turn into Traveler's Notebook spreads because a TN spread, when looked at as a whole, is a square!”
“I purposefully chose this sketch from Shimelle to convert into a TN layout because the design goes straight down the middle, a problem area when you have two pages making up one whole design.”
“I shifted the whole sketch to the left on my TN spread and then used the other side of the spread to add my title.”
“Just because your inspiration piece says one thing, that doesn't mean you can't deviate! Use the sketch to inspire you, rather than dictate your design.”
Great tips and inspiration from Traci and she has a process video for you too, which you can access here. Next we have a design created by Candy.
“This TN spread was so easy and so much fun to put together. I have a thing for photobooth strips and this one is of me and one of my students. I took one of the pattern papers that came in the kit and embellished it using tags and ephemera as well as one of the flairs to give it some interest.” Candy used the gorgeous ephemera from the Love Notes Classified Memory Keeping kit in her beautiful design.
And our final DT share today is from Korrie-ann. She created a TN layout based on a 12x12 design from DT member Iris Fox.
“When Iris posted her layout in the memory keeping group I thought it would perfect to scrap lift and turn it into a Traveler’s notebook spread, using the left page for my photos and the right page for the journaling.”
“I loved how Iris used the pocket on her page and using the envelope template from the TNMK kit, I created the envelope as a pocket on my page. For my photographs, I went for two photos instead of 3 as I felt they fitted the page better.”
“I love how the design looks in my traveler's notebook and really enjoyed using the 12x12 layout idea.”
The photos floating up from the envelope Korrie-ann created draws us right into her TN layout. And if you haven’t seen Christine’s video showing how she created a 12x12 and a TN layout with the same kit pieces, click here.
We want to see your designs in our Memory Keeping Facebook group and on social media by tagging us (@cocoa_daisy).
Happy crafting!
