Greetings!
Do you like the warm peachy side of pink or the cool magenta side? Well today on the blog we are showing you the various shades of pink in the Love NotesMemory Keeping kits. Let’s look at a peachy pink design by DT member Ria to get us started.
“Don’t you just love how the Love Notes kits are bursting with pink coloured goodness? Today I’m sharing 2 layouts done in pink, my favourite color! I’ve started working on a new album theme: One For The Books. The 2 layouts I am sharing today are about 2 of my favourite books ever!”
“I fell in love with this floral patterned paper because I felt it complimented the florals on the cover of the book in my photo. I then attached a tiny piece of ephemera along with a super cute puffy heart sticker.”
“I used the lovely script alphabet stickers as my title for greater impact.”
“In this next layout, I used alpha stickers to create my title again. I have this tendency to hoard alpha stickers so I’m giving myself a pat on the back for using them, hehe.”
“This time I wrote my journaling on one of the tags from the kit. I added a piece of twine on top of the tag for more texture. I feel that a pink coloured ribbon or twine would look better but I had to settle with black twine as this was what I had at the moment.
Thank you for looking at my pink layouts. I am excited to see your pretty in pink layouts as well.”
Ria’s designs are always sweet and clean. And we love the way she highlighted the lighter and darker spectrums of pink in her layouts. Next DT member Audrey is sharing a traditional 12x12 design with the entire spectrum of pink!
“I lived in France in the mid 90s And this was the start of my love affair with macarons. I like to sit and just savor them. Naturally, I had to devote a spread to this love affair and Love Notes was absolutely perfect for this. I started with a white 12x12 background and some pink watercolors from my stash, then added splatters using the acrylic paint from the memory keeping classified kit.”
“After my background dried, I started the process of laying down the paper. I had to use the cute 3x4 macaron card from the memory keeping pocket kit and the awesome envelope template to make an small envelope which contains my love letter to the macaron. As a tip, I used one of the tags from the traveler's notebook kit to house my journaling and the white string from the bag that the kit came in.”
“I layered embellishments around the edges of the photo and used the macaron die cut and word die cuts and a strip of washi tape in pink shades that resonated with my theme of macaron love. Pink alpha stickers from the kit were used to spell out the words "la la love" and I quickly ran this part of my design through my sewing machine to give it texture.”
“I finished off my design by stamping the words LOVE and XO in the bottom right and top left corners and a few pink enamel dots that I have been hoarding from the January NOTED collection. My layout, well c'est magnifique (it's excellent).“
Audrey shows us that macaroon love can be both lovely and tasty at the same time. Our last and super gorgeous design is from DT member Odessa.
“I love the peachy and blush tones in the Cocoa Daisy Love Notes kits so I pulled out some of my favourite bits in those colours to put together this Traveler’s Notebook layout. I’ve been working on monthly pocket page layouts lately and there is no space for my dorky coffee photos there so it’s nice to incorporate them into my notebook.”
“The little envelope template that came in the Traveler’s Notebook Memory Keeping Kit so I used it to make up a cute envelope to hold my photo. I added one of the Pocket Memory Keeping Kit chipboard stickers as a faux seal and a little flag to finish that side off.”
“On the other side of my layout I used a peachy paper as a background and did a strip down the middle of journaling and embellishments. I incorporated the blush puffy alpha stickers from the Love NotesTraveler’s Notebook Kit among with some journaling, stickers from the Memory Keeping Sticker Kit and a bit of stamping. Fun easy and cute!”
That faux seal is genius and of course we are loving all the envelopes created with the template that our customers and DT have been sharing on Facebook and social media. Adorable!
Thanks for joining us on today’s journey with pink. We look forward to seeing what you create!
XO,
Robin
