Throwback Pocket Pages with Wonderland Kits

Throwback Pocket Pages with Wonderland Kits

Hello, friends!

Do you have some older stories you still haven't documented? Why not use this collection to scrapbook those stories?

Linda Jordan: Throwback Pocket Page with Wonderland Kits

Hi! It's Linda here, and today I wanted to share with you a fun project I started this year using the Wonderland Collection. Everyone knows these kits are perfect for documenting your current life in pocket pages, but they are also great for going back in time to fill in gaps in your older albums. I have decided to fill in some of the gaps in my daughter's album by creating a 12x12 pocket page spread summary of each month in 2020. Using the Wonderland Collection, I recapped February 2020.

I love all of the sentiments that are included in the Wonderland Modern Memory Keeper Kit, but this month I was especially thrilled to see an encouraging sentiment about being yourself, because that is perfect to include in a teenager's album. Bonus points, the card was pink, which is my daughter's favorite color! However, instead of devoting an entire pocket to this card, I decided to use it as a base for a photo of my daughter + one of her best friends acting silly on PJ day at school. To add a little more texture, I added a slip of the floral transparency found in the Stationery kit (if you saw my last blog post, you know I am trying to get as many pieces as possible out of this gorgeous transparency!)

Every monthly recap spread needs a pocket summarizing the highlights of the month. There wasn't a card in the kit that I felt would work well for this, so I decided to make my own title using two types of alpha stickers from the kit and I love how it turned out. Those black thick alpha stickers in the Wonderland Modern Memory Keeper Kit this month are a new favorite!

Finally, I wanted to add the word "February" as a title. I found a 3x4 card in the Wonderland Modern Memory Keeper Kit that said February in fun letters that varied in size. I decided to cut out the letters and stitch them down on top of a photo of my daughter being silly in our living room that was under construction at the time. I loved how easy it was to bring together a recap of the month using the Wonderland Collection. I hope this post inspires you to go back and fill in missing gaps in your albums!
