It's Stamping Saturday and we are excited to share all the fun stamps found in the Frost & Frolic Collection. Let's start by seeing them upcoming and getting some inspiration from our fearless leader, Christine!

I’ve been enjoying working on my A5 holiday scrapbook journal. I started it last year and am adding to its pages this year. This spread documents my small tree, and I loved having fun with the stamps in the Frost & Frolic Collection. After layering several of the kit papers under my photo, I repeatedly stamped the merry definition from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit in gray at the bottom and top of my right page and in one quadrant of my left page. On top of the gray stamping, I layered a few cheery red ink stampings of the definition stamp. I’m pleased with the way this balances the spread and dispels the starkness of the white background.
I love stamping on tags, die-cuts, and stickers. I used one of the pocket cards for my journaling, but before writing, I stamped bows and ribbons from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit under “documented,” and I created a little border on the right by stamping the edging lines from the Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit in the three colors of my palette. On the opposite side of the card, I stamped the “memories” in black on top of a pink brushstroke. The holiday sentiment stamps of different sizes in the kit fit perfectly on their respective foundations (tag, little square label sticker, round label), and I repeated the echo stamping with my gray ink using the “make merry” stamp from Frost & Frolic Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, only this time I layered over it with green ink.
My finishing touches included strips of washi tape from the Frost & Frolic Classified: Memory Keeping Kit on both sides of the spread, pale blue and red glitter dots, white and snowflake sequins, and just a little more stamping, this time with that tiny asterisk snowflake. Besides all this stamping, I loved using one of the frames from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit with a die cut of pine bows spilling out of it. Rub-ons used under my stamped elements helped me ground them in my loose grid on the left side of the spread. I'm so happy to have another page and story in my notebook! I hope the festive Frost & Frolic Collection is helping you kick off your December documenting in style!
There are endless options for using stamps in your memory-keeping projects. The newly reformatted stamp sets from Cocoa Daisy are fantastic for building stamping clusters. I have created three different clusters within my memory planning layout in my Daisy Planner for the week of November 28th.
When creating these clusters I like to keep the ink colors to two or three different options. These colors ideally will coordinate with the rest of my layout for a cohesive and balanced look.
For this layout, I used a mix of stamps from the Doodles & Dashes II Collection and the Frost & Frolic Collection. It’s hard to tell but in selecting the black and white, orange coral, and mint green from the two kits I was able to create a unique color story for the last week of November that transitions into December. The use of the mint-colored ink really helps pull this all together so nicely.
I created two main styles of stamp collages. One collage has a variety of word phrases and the second uses one word but is stamped repeatedly. For a difference in ink boldness, you can use the generational stamping technique with each impression.
This is my stamp cluster three-part recipe I followed to create the stamping clusters in my layout:
1. Base grid: You can closely follow within the lines of the grid or you can use it as a background foundational element to your cluster. This grounds the cluster.
2. Bold number or icon: As this is a split week between November and December, I really liked the use of the numbers on either side of the layout. And the mug from the Traveler’s Notebook Stamp Set is my favorite stamp from the set so it had to make the layout!
3. Word phrases: I used a variety of word phrase stamps from the Traveler’s Notebook stamp sets. I store them all together so that it is easy to mix and match especially as I live in a warm climate, I find the more generalized word phrases like “ moments” work best for me as they’re super applicable to a variety of stories.
As you can see there are no photos or journaling yet. Decorating first for memory planning layouts is one of my go-to approaches during busy seasons of life. With the deco all ready to go, I can easily print out my photos and add my journaling at a later date.
I hope this project gives you some ideas on how to use your stamps more in your memory planning layouts. If you’re nervous to stamp directly onto your planner pages, you can try stamping on white sticker paper. Or stamp your clusters on a journal card and add that to your planner as well.
