The Traditional Memory Keeping Medium
Hello! On the blog today we are sharing traditional sized memory keeping designs. You are going to love our design team’s ideas for creating 9x12 and 12x12 layouts with the Noted kits! There is some serious circle love by Traci and a beautiful collage by Jil. Let’s take a peek at Jil’s design first. “This page about my dog gave me the chance to create a playful 12X12 layout with a collage that draws on a lot of the die-cuts, chipboard, and rub-ons from the Noted kits. The clock ties in with the journaling ("dogs wind the clocks of our days"), and the rub-on pencil inspired me to write my journaling in pencil.” “I added sequins in the kit colors and made a big 5, my dog's age, for the collage with one of the papers.” “Every now and then, I pause to reflect on my Hazel's personality and little quirks. Just like her, the papers and colors in Noted are so fresh and happy!” Absolutely adorable and we love all the texture in Jil’s design, including her stitching. Now let’s see what Traci has for us today. “One of the fun challenges I have every month is how I can adapt my Cocoa Daisy collections for my 9x12 scrapbooking. This month I was inspired by the fun patterned circle print paper in the Planner kit!” “Instead of keeping the paper all one piece, I used my 2" circle punch to punch out all the circles, then cut them in half to create this fun layered fish scale effect at the bottom of a piece of white cardstock.” “I loved the doodled feel of the papers, so I used repeat stamping, journal lines and ink splatters to really play up the effect.” We love seeing our design team’s ideas and their own unique way of using our kits each month. Take a closer look with Jil and Traci’s process videos of their designs. You can view Jil’s video here and Traci’s video here. And please share your traditional designs with us in our Memory Keeping Facebook group! Have a wonderful day! ~Robin
