Linda Jordan: Pops of Black in your Layout
I absolutely love the bright fun colors in the Sun-drenched Collection juxtaposed with the pops of black. When I opened my Sun-drenched Scrapbook Kit this month I knew that I had to pair the bold black word phrase strips with the bright pops of color of the enamel dots to create a fun spread. I decided to use these embellishments to create a spread highlighting my favorite memories from the summer of 2023.
I selected 14 photos that represented the highlights of my summer printed them out on faux polaroid backgrounds and laid them out in a grid on some of the pretty rainbow paper in the kit. Then I went to work pairing each photo with a word phrase strip + enamel dot. I love how the word phrase strips added a little description for each photo and the enamel dots provided a pop of color.
After adding a simple title, I tied the spread together with the huge ampersand chipboard piece in the kit. The bold black icon was the perfect pairing for all the bright colors in the kit. I am so thrilled with how this spread came out! How do you plan to use the embellishments in this kit?
Traci Reed: Beautiful Buttons. and Banners
Did somebody say embellishments? The Sun-drenched Scrapbook Kit and Sun-drenched Creative Kits are the perfect combination to provide all the embellishments you need to make MANY pages! Since I was using that beautiful floral paper for this page, I wanted to lean into embellishments other than the myriad of floral stickers and die cuts and rub-ons in the kits.
I adored the buttons included in the Sun-drenched Scrapbook Kit, so I included quite a few of them, clustered with black flower stickers from the Sun-drenched Memory Keeping Sticker Kit and then stitched down with black thread to emphasize the pops of black in the papers. I also customized the Hello Sunshine die cut into a banner to match the shape of my paper mats.
I also took advantage of the many phrases included in the chipboard set from the Sun-drenched Scrapbook Kit and Sun-drenched Journal Card Add-on and the various alphas to add lots of words and titles to the page, bringing the focus to the center where the adorable photos are!
