Did you pick up one of our Summer Fun Kits ? One our Creative Team members, Carol Chastain, picked one up for her kids to use to craft along side her! This kit is currently sold out, but you can use the idea with your regular Cocoa Daisy kit subscription leftovers each month!
This specialty kit did come with several prompts for kids to follow along with. Carol put her list on a clipboard and then filled the table with items for her kids to dig in to.
Our die cuts are easy for kids to use because they already have an adhesive backing! Simply pull of the back to reveal the adhesive and stick those die cuts on to your craft projects. A learning activity for younger kids could also be to sort the die cuts into categories; sorting is a learning readiness skill. Have your kids sort the die cuts into categories like flags, animals and plants. Then, let them go crazy sticking the die cuts down on their paper (which is also a good fine motor skill to work on!)
Older kids can use other tools like staplers to make their personal craft projects special. Here, Carol's child adds a standard size dashboard to a large piece of kit paper.
Who doesn't love washi?! We know our subscribers are big fans of our washi and Carol's kids are no different. Tearing and cutting washi tape for their projects is fun and easy! (If you're a washi lover, you might want to consider picking up our Washi Trio subscription. Share with your kiddos or keep them for yourself; we won't tell.)
Here's a look at a finished project. Kids are so creative!
Did you know that we offer TWO challenges every month? These prompts are fun to follow along with and some of them could even be adapted for own kids to participate in with you. Grab an extra Simple Dori or Cocoa Daisy Daisy Dori and fill up your own booklet with our Cocoa Daisy Journal prompts or Cocoa Daisy Challenge prompts.
