Hello, friends! No matter the theme for each month's collection, there is always a way to stretch it for all types of memory-keeping topics!

Carol Weatherspoon: Stretch the Theme!

  Today, we're "Stretching the Theme" with the Bookish Collection. I am an avid reader and I love books but today I'm showing you that this collection can be used for any spring theme.     Not only is my spread not about books, but it also utilizes some common elements from the collection. On the left side of the spread, I used a couple of foam sentiments to create my title.     I love the beautiful watercolor look of the patterned paper from the Bookish Simple Dori and I added my title right on top in a diagonal pattern to draw your eye down the page. I then included my journaling and added a tab sticker and a little subtle stamping to complete my layout.   On the right side of the spread, I included my photo with a couple of photo corners from the Bookish Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit near the center of the page. I then stamped a sentiment from the Bookish Memory Keeping Stamp Sets and the same stamp I used on the left side to complete my spread. I love how using basic elements can really pack a punch in your layout.   How did you stretch the theme for this collection?
