I started with a simple double-page spread. The idea of creating angled corners needs a simpler and subtler pattern in the background, so that all the pieces and the angles in the spread showcase nicely together.

 

 

I am using one of the 6x8 papers from the Wisdom & Wonder Scrapbooking kit to create the two large triangles that cap the spread on diagonally opposite corners. I cut a rectangle, then cut it into two triangles, I glued them to the corners of the spread. I used the washi tape in the kit to help me add a layer underneath the long edge of the triangle.

  

 

Once I had the corners set in place, it was time to add my photo. I pulled a few pieces from the Wisdom & Wonder Scrapbooking kit to create the layers behind the photo. The small tab note just creates that layered look behind the photo we all love.

 

 

After adding the photo to the right side of the spread, it was all about embellishing. I kept the embellishments minimal as I wanted to make sure not to lose details of the background and paper triangles. However, I made sure that the embellishments followed the angle of the triangle, which creates a more interesting line of sight for the spread.

 

 

I am using the left side of the spread to add my journaling lines and a title using the puffy alphas in the Wisdom & Wonder Scrapbooking kit. The stamp set has the right sentiments to help you document your stories, so it was easy to add a few extra sentiments with it.
