Springtime Sips with the Afternoon Tea Collection

Springtime Sips with the Afternoon Tea Collection
Hello, friends! It's in the name of this collection, so it seemed appropriate to document what we are currently sipping. Keep reading to see what are our Creative Team's favorite springtime beverages!   We love how Jil embraced the color in her Simple Dori spread. I had so much color going on in my photos from a recent breakfast out, but I decided that Afternoon Tea Collection was the perfect kit to document this experience, given that the collection is so wonderfully vibrant! I also knew that the little cup motifs would be perfect for my focus on what we sip while waiting for our breakfast. Because of all the color and detail, I opted for a grid design to settle the spread into a little bit of order. My favorite approach is to reserve one block of the grid for a title and journaling. I matted each of my photos with patterned paper from the Afternoon Tea Modern Memory Keeping Kit. I layered washi tape along two edges of the spread, which brought in lots of happy color and pattern while also reinforcing the grid design and the stripes in the booth upholstery in the photo. I embellished my page with chipboard hexagons, die cuts, puffy stickers, and glitter dots. I'm happy to have this cheerful spread in my notebook, and I think the lesson is this: don't be afraid of color! No matter the season, Carol's heart belongs to coffee! I don't know about you, but coffee is my go-to "sip" no matter if it's Spring, Summer, Winter, or Fall! I knew that the Afternoon Tea Collection would be perfect for this spread. I decided to really let the patterned paper take center stage along with my photo. You can never go wrong with black and white so I matted my photo with a pink pattern and adhered that to the left side. I then used the stamp set from the Afternoon Tea Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to stamp that super cute picture slide and added the Let's Take a Break sentiment inside. On the bottom of the picture slide stamp are the words Picture Perfect. Since I wasn't including a photo there, I just adhered this adorable puffy sticker pen over top. I added my journaling underneath onto some vellum and adhered it with the beautiful washi tape included in the kit. For the right side, I strategically placed die cuts to keep the visual triangle intact by adding my die cuts around the bold sentiment in the middle. At the end of the day, the sentiment on my coffee mug says it best, Drink Coffee and Do Good! Veronica shows how to document multiple favorite spring drinks. Hello! I created this little accordion flip out all about my favorite springtime sips. I have been loving smoothies, kombucha, and always coffee! The Afternoon Tea Modern Memory Keeping Kit is the PERFECT kit to document all your love for tea and favorite sips! Watch my process in this reel on my Instagram.
