Spring Bucket List with Take Flight Kits
Hello, friends!
Keeping a journal is a great way to capture thoughts and memories. But it is also a great tool for planning ahead! A bucket list is a great way to celebrate a new season and start brainstorming ways to find joy in the season.
Linda Jordan: Spring Bucket List with Take Flight Kits
Hi! It's Linda here and I'm excited to share with you a journaling spread I created using the Take Flight collection in my Hobonichi Cousin. Although the Take Flight Collection is adorable, I have to admit that spring is my least favorite season of the year, so I wasn't that excited at first to tell stories about spring. However, the cute icons and colors really encouraged me to embrace this season and create a spring bucket list!
I had a few empty daily pages in March in my hobonichi cousin, so I decided to go back and fill in some of these empty pages with a list of 25 bucket list items I wanted to accomplish this spring to help me find the good in the season. Because I wasn't really using the spread on the date at the top, I used one of the washi strips from the Take Flight Classic Cousin Sticker Kit to cover up the date. The mild liner that came in the Take Flight Stationary Kit was the perfect shade of blue to create my title and I simply outlined the letters with my pen + added some brush lettering beneath.
I used the numbers from the Take Flight Classic Cousin Sticker Kit to number my 25 bucket list items. Then I decorated the spread with a variety of pieces from the collection. However, my absolute favorite items to use were the gorgeous rub-ons in the Take Flight Modern Memory Keeping Kit. Not only are they beautiful and easy to use, but they go on completely flat so they are perfect for not adding bulk to my Hobonichi cousin.
I left space beneath each item on my list so I can go back and add a date stamp once I accomplish the item. Hopefully, this list will help me find the joy in this season, I know I feel joyful looking at all the pretty icons on this spread! Do you create seasonal bucket lists in your journal?
