Nathalie DeSousa: Simple Storytelling with Moss & Mirth

Hi there! It’s Nathalie with today’s inspiration for documenting your days using the beautiful  Moss & Mirth Scrapbooking Kit. I decided to use this to create a new entry in my  Moss & Mirth Simple Daisy Notebook. I loved how you can create all sorts of stories with this kit.

I selected the plaid paper spread in the Moss & Mirth Simple Daisy Notebook as I wanted to take advantage of the color palette and design. I started by using the dark green paper in the Moss & Mirth Scrapbooking Kit to anchor my photo by placing it on the right side of the spread and then extending it to the left side as well.

The label in the stamp set in the Moss & Mirth Scrapbooking Kit is perfect to help layer elements. I used black ink and fussy cut it out, then added it between the photos. This gave me the perfect placement for other elements. I added another small cluster right the top of the photos, so that the layout balances and does not become weighed on one side.

I am taking advantage of the bottom left corner of the paper in the spread to add a large cluster that serves as a title. I combined stamped pieces with elements from the Moss & Mirth Scrapbook kit and looped some string, guiding it to the other side of the page as a means of connecting the two sides.

The stamp set in the kit was a great way to bring a subtitle to the title page, and also help with adding a placement for the journaling. I couldn’t be happier with the final look of this spread in my SimpleDaisy Notebook. I hope this provides some inspiration and you get creative with your Moss & Mirth Scrapbooking Kit. I cannot wait to see what you create. XO!
