Simple Dori Saturday: Right Here, Right Now

Simple Dori Saturday: Right Here, Right Now
Hello, friends! The Simple Dori Traveler Notebook is the perfect place to capture what is happening in your life. Whether it is a favorite selfie, a "currently" list, or a moment soaking in the sunshine, you can guarantee to have these moments documented in a snap using this compact format. For this "Simple Dori Saturday", our Creative Team shares how they are documenting the here and now. Aimee's "Currently" page is perfect inside her Peach Ridge Simple Dori. Happy Simple Dori Saturday Daisies! It‚Äôs Aimee here today with a ‚Äúcurrently‚Äù layout for August‚Äî of course using the new Peach Ridge Collection. It just so happens that I snapped this selfie on August 1st and I thought it would be fun to make a spread about three things going on in my life as we were entering a new month.   I chose to put my photo on the patterned side and thought the August wood veneer piece from the Peach Ridge Modern Memory Keeping Kit was the perfect embellishment for this particular page. I just love when I am able to use up my wood veneer pieces. Next, I included some fun die cuts from the Peach Ridge Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit for some added flair!   For the opposite side of the Peach Ridge Simple Dori, I selected a grid paper and used the Cocoa Daisy Alpha Stamp Set to stamp out ‚Äúcurrently‚Äù at the top of the page in coordinating colors. Next, I adhered these cute numbered adhesive die cuts down the center. Underneath each, I just journaled about my three things. I find that numbered journaling can really help get more stories told and can also be quite therapeutic as it requires you to really think about what is important or what is weighing on your mind in that particular moment. I love how this spread turned out and I also love journaling in my Simple Dori! I hope I inspired you today and happy crafting!
Evy is documenting this current season using a mix of Cocoa Daisy collections.
I am in the summer holidays/sea mood and I am finishing my Simple Dori dedicated to the most significant moments of the last month.
I'm still using my Wisteria Lane Simple Dori and a mix of collections and stamps. Yes, I am a person who does not throw anything away, especially the scraps. So I still had this polka dot vellum from so many kits ago and I finally found the perfect match! On the right page, I had fun inserting some stamps, a strip of washi, and chipboard to add volume, while under the photo on the left I inserted a card from the modern memory-keeping kit from the My Escape Modern Memory Keeping Kit, 2 chipboards, and puffy embellishments.
To give continuity between the 2 pages, I inserted the transparent stickers from the Wisteria Lane Classified: Memory Keeping Kit with a stitching effect! It's my favorite embellishment right now!
Odessa let this pattern in her Simple Dori inspire her summertime spread.
This summer I’ve been loving making layouts in my Peach Ridge Simple Dori. Here’s a page I put together with a cute photo and a lot of alpha stickers and die cuts using the Peach Ridge Collection.
I loved that green background floral pattern so much. When my Simple Dori opened up to it I knew I had to make a layout on it. I had a cute photo from a morning at the beach earlier in the month so I stuck that down and started working around it.
I added some die cuts from the Peach Ridge Planner Add On Kit around the photo and sealed it with that cute peach washi from the same kit. I’m not much of a planner but I love the Planner Add On Kit, it has so many good little bits and details in it! Above the photo, I added a title. I’m trying to hold on to summer and resist the urge of all things pumpkin spice right now so I made a title that reflected that. I used some alpha stickers along with some of the cute chipboard that comes with both the Peach Ridge Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and Peach Ridge Modern Memory Keeping Kit.
On the patterned paper side I had a bunch of fun with die cuts from a few of the Peach Ridge Collection. I just pulled a bunch out that I thought could work and started shuffling them around the page until it was just right. I love how this summery layout turned out!
