Hi lovely people!
It’s Rachel here, and I thought that this month I'd do something a little different. I absolutely LOVE the birds that Arleigh draws for the Cocoa Daisy kits, and so I'm sharing with you some of the places in my planner that I've 'put a bird on it'!
Birds are one of my favourite creatures, and part of the reason is because they remind me of the verse in Matthew 6, and the faithfulness and love of God towards all people. So it seems a good thing to include as many birds as I can in my planner to be a daily reminder of that truth!
I LOVED the little birds on the paper in the Main Planner Kit, so I created a pencil board for my Hobonichi Weeks - I fussy cut around the top, and added a simple die cut as a reminder to 'fill my cup' each day. This is my faith journal this year - check out a plan with me video for it here - and I love this simple reminder. The other birds on the top of my personal ring planner are from the Classified: Planner Edition kit (the 'don't worry I got this' bird button), and I used two of the puffy stickers from the Main Planner Kit to make a simple paper clip too.
If you've seen my unboxing videos, you'll know I'm not necessarily a fan of the tassels on the pouches - but that's OK, because there's always something else I can pop on there! In this case - yep, it's a bird. This one came in the Classified: Planner Edition kit.
Also with the bird charm was this yellow bird paperclip which I tucked in to the back pocket of my planner. And - how stinking cute are those little legs tucked over the pocket?! It makes me smile when I spot him!
For my front cover of my planner, I printed the free newsletter subscriber printable onto acetate, and cut it down to make this colourful overlay. I added some of the glitter enamel dots which were in the Modern Memory Keeping Kit, an embroidered bird patch from the Classified: Planner Edition and some of the washi and die cuts too. It's such a lovely uplifting view when I open my planner to start on work for the day!
The reverse of the bird paper from the planner kit had the most gorgeous subway-style-typography, and I wanted to use some of it in my planner. I made a simple page marker by cutting a section out, adding a die cut on top, and then I popped some of the new Daisy Faith Journaling Sticker Kit stickers on the back as another daily reminder to lean on God throughout my day.
I hope you enjoyed this look at where I've included some of the cute birds in my planner - have you featured them in yours?
Until next time lovely people, take care, and enjoy your planning!
