Tai Cortes: Pocket Pages with the Snow Day Society Scrapbooking Kit

Hello crafty friends! Its Tai and I have a double page pocket page layout in my 6x8 family story album. The Snow Day Society Collection from Cocoa Daisy is perfect for your winter story telling. The colors in this collection are the blues, mint greens and white along with adorable illustrated characters to compliment your story telling. I am using the Snow Day Society Scrapbooking Kit along with the Snow Day Society Pocket Card Kit. The first pocket card I selected was the 4x6 one with the quote on it. Then the selection process was made to coordinate with this initial card.

When auditioning out other pocket cards, I wanted to include an illustrated character from a 3x4 card and a large sentiment card too. There are tons of options to select from for your project. The colors worked well and I have happy with my selected cards. I usually do a combination of 2 4x6 page protectors or 4 3x4 pockets for my 6x8 story telling. In order to combined a mix of pocket cards from the collection I mix and match my page protectors up.

I scrolled my phone camera roll to find photos that went along with the sentiment. I came across photos of our family at a recent birthday party for my nephew. I am blessed with a big family and anytime we are together we always manage to take group photos. My daughter loves being with her cousins. The photos I printed in black and white because all the colors in them contrasted with the collection. This is always an easy tip to make your photos work with your supplies.

Usually I enjoy adding extra interest to my photos with other elements from the Snow Day Society Scrapbooking Kit. For each of my 3x4 photos I adorned the bottoms with a chip board element and one of the acetate snowflake. I added a chipboard snowflake to my sentiment card as well to add more detail. And for the 4x6 photo, I added one of the glittery white swirl stickers to the bottom along with a chipboard element and a tiny word sticker. These few additions always add more interest to the simple cards and our simple photos for our spreads. This is a usual habit for me to take when I putting together my pocket page layouts. Decorate those photos, so it ties in with the collection so much more.
