Tai Cortes: Pocket Pages with Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit

Hello, my crafty friends! It is Tai and I have a double pocket page layout to share with you today. My project is in my 6x8 story album that I am currently up to date with. This month’s collection is perfect for your winter/holiday storytelling. Since the holidays have not yet approached, I am reminiscing on last year's magical moments. For my project, I am using the Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit and the Cedar and Snow Pocket Cards Add-on Kit.

My ‘go-to formula’ for completing a double-page layout is usually, 1 journal card, 1 sentiment care, and 1 decorative card. Once you have those 3 cards selected, photos can be printed to fit the size area you need for your layout. For this collection, I leaned into the blues and greens in my card selection. And then I was able to pick out photos that had pops of red. My photos were selected with intention, I have one with my daughter and me, her solo, and one with my hubby and our daughter. That way everyone is represented.

Before I added my journaling on my 4x6 card, I stamped in gray ink the ‘December definition’ stamp on repeat to give more detail to the card along with a rub on. My journaling is usually done on matte clear sticker paper so that the details of the card can shine through.

My photos also get some added embellishments to them. I selected a few chipboard elements, enamel dots, and a few die cuts from the Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit. I enjoy adding these additional details to have the photos become a part of the overall layout.

On the decorative card, I managed to use a die-cut label and stamped ‘December memories’ from the 3x4 stamp set in the Cedar and Snow Scrapbooking Kit in grey ink. A few pieces of washi tape were added to the cards as well. My journaling is all about my enjoyment of the holiday season. And it is approaching very soon. I hope you are inspired to share some of your holiday memories with this collection.
