Pocket Page Scrapbooking with the Big Sky Collection

 Hello, friends!

There are plenty of elements from the Big Sky Collection that can be used for everyday documenting, especially in a pocket page scrapbook!

Linda Jordan: Pocket Pages with Big Sky Kits

Hi! It's Linda here and I'm here today to share with you how I am loving the Big Sky Modern Memory Keeping Kit for documenting my everyday life in my project life album. I loved the bold colors in the Big Sky Collection; perfect for documenting a week in January this year.

After selecting and printing my photos, I pulled out my Big Sky Modern Memory Keeping Kit and got ready to put together my spread. The first thing I did was select my journaling cards. The card topped with an ampersand is one of my favorites in the kit and it was perfect to add a bullet point list of micro-stories from the week. I also loved the "currently" card which created a great jumping-off point to add some additional stories to my spread.

After my journaling + photos were in place, I had room for a few more "filler cards." I love the ability to add these because it allows my favorite pieces from the Big Sky Modern Memory Keeping Kit to shine + creates a resting place for your eyes between all the photos + words. I knew I wanted to use the quote card from the kit, but I also absolutely loved the striped card as well. I had considered using it as a base for journaling (it would be a great journaling card), but I decided to make it a filler card instead. I pulled out the ampersand wood veneer to create a personalized filler card.

One of the stories I wanted to tell this week was of a Zoom call I hosted. I chose a patterned 4x6 card from the Big Sky Modern Memory Keeping Kit that made a perfect base for this special story. I printed my photo smaller than the card to have plenty of space to add embellishments. Then, I used the alphas from the Big Sky Modern Memory Keeping Kit to add a title + a label sticker for the date. Finally, I cropped down one of the sticky notes from the stationery kit to create a journaling spot.

Although my winter in upstate New York isn't a story you would typically see in the "Wild West," I found that the colors + sentiments in this collection were perfect to bring some life to my winter photos. I loved the balance of blues and bright colors in the collection. Those ampersands were the final touch that brought this spread together for me, typing the left and the right spreads together. I hope you got a few ideas from this post on how you can use this collection in your project life album!
