Pocket Page Design Ideas with our Memory Keeping Kits
Hello! Today we are sharing ideas with the Pocket Memory Keeping kits from Cocoa Daisy. Many of our design team members have pocket page projects each year. Pocket pages are any easy and fun way to document your stories, especially if you don't have a lot of time to create a layout in the more traditional full page sizes. Our first pocket page layout using our memory keeping kits is from Odessa. She notes, "Vellum is such a fun thing to stuff in pocket page pockets. I love adding layers and like how it gives you a little peek at the next page. So cool!" "The Flannel & Frost Memory Keeping Classified Kit came with an orange geometric print vellum sheet that I cut down to 3x4 and put in one of my pockets." "I added a chipboard circle from one of the Memory Keeping Kits on top of a cute circular scalloped sticker from the Memory Keeping Sticker Kit to help it pop." "I used a mix of the Flannel & Frost kits on the rest of this page full of all things autumn. Cozy knitting, fall walks and snoozing kittens. I used lots of alpha and phrase stickers instead of journalling and added a touch of glitz with the glitter enamel dots. These kits make fall pocket memory keeping so easy!" We love the simple and sweet pages Odessa creates to document her stories. She is a whiz at telling stories with minimal journaling! Our next pocket page design is from Jil. "I loved combining the Flannel & Frost kit with Acorn Lane to create a two-page spread in my Project Life album." "The fall colors are lovely--ideal for my photos from the month! The chipboard was so much fun to add to both the photos and the pocket cards. I also layered the washi tapes and added some finishing touches with phrase stickers and die cuts." "The puffy stickers from the Flannel & Frost Memory Keeping Classified Kit helped me add reinforcing detail, such as the jam pot and berries on my cereal bowl or the tea pot on my journaling card, which tells the story of my strategies for getting through a weekend of marathon grading sessions." "I loved the ampersand card for celebrating my relationship with my mom. Pocket page scrapbooking is just wonderful for everyday storytelling and capturing the ongoing rhythm of our lives throughout all the seasons!" Jil's layouts are full of little details and we enjoy spending time looking at each of her pockets! The final layout for today's post is one I created in my pocket sized traveler's notebook album for Autumn. I chose pocket cards from the Acorn Lane pocket kit that I wanted to texturize with stitching. I was actually torn between two cards for the layout. Here's how my cards look after I finished stitching them. I finally chose the card with hexagons because I love the look of the fussy cut leaves on top of my stitching and the blue plaid rub-on. I added Acorn Lane die cuts, enamel dots and a few more fussy cut leaves to my design as well as some of the puffy letters from Flannel and Frost. Of course the story for this layout is from one of my many daily meandering walks with our 13-year old pup, Scooboo Bear. He has the soul of a puppy and the joy radiates out of his grey muzzled face as he sniffs every leaf and tree along the way. Here is a photo of my full layout in my album. I am loving my autumn traveler's notebook sized pocket album and all the various pocket configurations!
