Paper Crafting with Cocoa Daisy - Up, Up, and Away
Hi daisies. I realize that many of us are home these days, with very few activities outside of the home. While there might not be a ton to add to our planners, there is still a lot that we can do to enjoy our kits. There's memory keeping, scrap booking, card making, and various paper crafts. Today I'm going to share with you just a few of the ways that I am using mine. Pocket letters are a great way to enjoy our kits and reach out to a friend across the miles with a cheery hello! You can find many tutorials online for making pocket letters. In today's post, I'm simply going to touch on them, since I have a few different projects to share. To make a pocket letter, you'll need a trading card sleeve sleeve or page protector. You can cut your Cocoa Daisy paper down to (9) pieces that measure 2.5 wide x 3.5 tall. I like to lay my individual cards out and add bits and bobs that I want to use to decorate them before I actually start attaching anything. I used elements from my Up, Up, and Away kits to decorate and add goodies for the recipient of my pocket letter to enjoy. I also added things from my own stash. I loved the pennant stickers that came in this month's kit and used them to make a banner. Sometimes I add things in little baggies and use a stapler to attach them to the card. I love to include washi as I've done here, using floss bobbins. When my pocket letter is don, it slips right into a business size envelope. I like to first give that envelope a little pop of color. You can get even more creative with your pocket letters and have images traverse across multiple pockets. In my video below, I go into a bit more detail about how to do that. Another thing I like to do with my kit paper and dashboards is to make tags. These are fun to tuck into the pocket of your planners & journals, but they also make nice happy mail. I also like to create Memorydex cards with my kit elements. Sometimes I add photos to them and do a little memory keeping. These are fun little cards that are great for using up all those extra bits from our kit.
