Hello, friends!
Have you ever received an item in your Cocoa Daisy kits and wondered how you could use it in different ways? We are here to help with this very pondering! Today, our Creative Team shares a few ways to utilize items that typically arrive inside the Planner Kit: washi and sticky notes! We think you'll like these ideas for stretching these products a little further.
Kylie shares how she uses washi tape three ways in her December planning setup.
"I love using washi tape decoratively. It is perfect layered on the back of note cards in your planner to add a burst of colour over what would normally be a white background. On this notecard, I have used the washi tapes from the Winter Twilight Planner Kit and Winter Twilight Classified: Planner Kit.
On my weekly pages in my planner, I have added some washi tape from the Classified: Planner Kit folded over the edges. Not only does this have an aesthetic appeal, but it also acts as page markers to enable me to find my weekly planning pages quickly.
Thanks to the days of the week washi tape in the Winter Twilight Planner Add On Kit, I have cut between each printed day and used them on my weekly pages. I like the bold text on my pages and this washi roll can be used again and again for this purpose."
Sticky notes are great for more than just quick reminders, as Tanti demonstrates here.
"I love it when there’s a shaped sticky notepad included in one of the kits. This month we have got the cute star-shaped sticky notepad in the Winter Twilight Planner Kitand today I’m sharing how I used it in three ways.
Something that I often do with the shaped sticky notes is to use them in a decorative way like I did this month. I used it on my TN cover to create layered embellishments.
The second thing I have created using the sticky notes are these cute gift tags. First, I glued them onto a piece of cardstock and cut them out. Then I decorated it using patterned paper from the Winter Twilight Planner Kit, the vellum washi sticker from the Winter Twilight Planner Sticker Kit, and the printables. Lastly, I punched a hole and added the ribbon to the tags.
Finally, I have made this cute shaker paperclip. I glued the sticky note onto a piece of cardstock, put it into a piece of a clear plastic folder, added some sequins and sealed it using a fuse tool. Then I punched a little circle out of a piece of patterned paper and then using a hot glue gun I attached the paperclip on the back of the shaker and covered it up using the paper circle."
