When weekly documenting is too overwhelming, a monthly recap is a great alternative! This is a great option, especially when you are "catching up" from a few years ago.
This year I'm using my Little Bee Cottage Scrapbook Kit with the Little Bee Cottage Pocket Card Add-On Kit to go back and document 2020 in my daughter's album. Each month I create a monthly recap using that month's kit. The colors + sentiments in the Little Bee Cottage Scrapbook Kit were perfect for documenting the transition back to school and to cooler days.
Each month, the Little Bee Cottage Pocket Card Add-On Kit comes with a 4x6 card that works perfectly as a title card. This month it had a beautiful floral illustration and burnt orange colors which worked well with the reds + oranges in my photos this month. The alphas in the scrapbook kit were a muted green that complimented the orange perfectly (without looking Christmassy!) so I used them on top of some washi tape to label my daughter's back-to-school photos.
One of my favorite things about the pocket cards from Little Bee Cottage Pocket Card Add-On Kit were all the beautiful sentiments included. Sometimes they're so beautiful that I just have to leave them intact (like that "goodbye summer" card), but usually, my favorite way to use them is to cut out the sentiment and add it to a photo or other element on my page. The sentiment "live in the moment" perfectly complements these photos of our trip to the farmer's market.
