Hello, my crafty friends. It's Tai and I am here with a memory planning layout in my classic-sized happy planner. I love keeping my memory planner current, but I have to say… I fell behind in March but I have since caught up. For my layout today, I am documenting a week in April using the lovely From the Garden Collection.

This spread began with a patterned paper found in the From the Garden Scrapbooking Kit with gorgeous illustrations of flowers along the bottom. It was a ‘must use’ paper from the kit. So I made marks where to cut so that it would fit and cover the vertical layout on the page. I know some may not like covering up those lines but once in a while its fun to step outside the box in your memory planning layouts.

This paper was striking all on its own but of course, we have to add to it. I started with a piece of green-on-green patterned washi tape along the bottom edge of each page to ground the layout. I then decided which pictures go on each side.

I had 6 photos for this week and I made sure to put 3 on the left and 3 on the right. I enjoy keeping my layouts balanced, so I also did the same placement on each side. It is easy on the eye, in my opinion, when designing your layouts.

The dark green alphas were perfect for small word titles on a few of my photos. Around the edges or corners of my photos, I added a few die cuts from the kit, tiny phrase stickers, rub-ons and the vinyl sticker that comes in the box each month. Each photo gets some decorating.

I used the number stickers from the memory-keeping sticker kit along the top to have the colors completely match for this spread. I love how this layout turned out. Do not be afraid to use those 12x12 papers in your memory planner. They can really make a huge impact on a layout.
