Memory Planning: the Spice Market Collection
Hello, friends! Memory planning is a great way to combine scrapbooking, journaling, and planning into one project! Any subscription kit works great for this creative project. Let's see how the Creative Team uses the Spice Market Collection in their memory planners.

Natasha Pytlik: Sticking to Your Memory Planning Creative Practice

As a memory keeper with a chronic illness- my health can fluctuate but my love of memory keeping never does. When I am going through a flare-up, spending time in my craft room to create memory-keeping projects isn’t necessarily possible so I have adapted my process for those tough days!
For me, regular creative practice is part of my wellness. To keep things “craft in bed” friendly, for this layout I stuck with primary products that have the adhesive on them already or the rub-ons from the Traveler’s Notebook Kit that can be applied right into the planner page. If you’re in a similar boat, I recommend the following products to check out for your memory-keeping projects:
First, die cuts! All Cocoa Daisy’s die cuts come with an adhesive back so they’re super user-friendly. Just like a sticker, peel off and place on the page. Second, the grab Memory Keeping Sticker Kit and The Daisy Add On Sticker Kit. Stickers are so versatile- I have used them as foundational layering pieces or added some smaller decor pieces for the final layering details.
Third, utilize alphabet stickers and die-cuts. Just like the other items mentioned above- all of the Alphas I’ve used from the puffy stickers to the alpha stickers are easy to apply with no extra tools or supplies needed. For all my fellow chronic illness warriors within the Cocoa Daisy community, I hope this blog post gives you some ideas and inspiration for ways you can remain creative even during those challenging health times.

Veronica Milan: Start with Pattern Papers

Hello, memory planning friends! I am here to share a quick and easy way to use up Spice Market Collection in a memory planner. I always start with some pattern paper from the kit and create some background rectangles.
I love using ink to blend a background. Here I used yellow. I always place photos based on the day. Then I fill all the empty spaces with embellishments. I loved using the rub-on transfers from the Spice Market Modern Memory Keeping Kit and overlaying them on the ink splotches, overlay tags, and clear stickers.
I also love the puffy alpha's from the Spice Market Modern Memory Keeping Kit to create titles. I love to work on half the week at a time because it makes the process easier for me.
Half-week spreads allow me to enjoy this style of memory keeping more because I become less overwhelmed. I hope you start documenting in a planner as well and learn to love the simple process!

Rachel Newman: Working in a Bound Notebook

If you signed up for the Memory Planning Step by Step Class, you know I've been memory planning in a Heidi Swapp Memory Planner Insert for the first part of 2022. I'm a little behind but that's ok because I have a few tricks for catching up, which you'll find in this Reel over on my Instagram page!
One challenge of a bound notebook comes when the insert starts to fill up and your page becomes bumpy. When this starts happening, I start to rely more heavily on pattern paper, alpha stickers, pocket cards, and die-cuts to fill the space. When I do journal or stamp, I place a piece of cardboard under the page, or I journal/stamp off the page onto cardstock.
For this spread, I pulled in all the beautiful colors and patterns from the Spice Market Collection. The pocket cards from the Spice Market Modern Memory Keeping Kit came in handy for the title embellishment on Friday and the pattern squares on Wednesday and Thursday. The pattern designs are scaled down on the pocket cards, which works well in this smaller scale memory-keeping project.
I had a few extra photos that I included by making photo flips. On the left page, I have the photo flip down with journaling on the inside about my silly "co-worker". On the right page, the photo flips up to include a second photo and some hidden journaling.
