Traci Reed: Mini Album with October Glow Collection

Sometimes a collection begged to be turned into a mini album, and that’s exactly what happened when I started playing with the October Glow Collection. Between the gorgeous 12x12 papers, the paper add-on, and the perfectly sized journal cards, I had everything I needed to create a cozy, autumn-inspired mini album that came together beautifully.

One of my favorite things about using 12x12 papers for mini albums is how versatile they are. You can trim them down into covers, fold them into pages, or cut them into pockets and flaps. The bold autumn colors and patterns in October Glow made it easy to mix and match while still keeping everything coordinated. The larger cut-apart elements and borders also made great embellishments when scaled down for the smaller format.

For the structure of this mini, I was inspired by a tutorial from this YouTube video. I loved the simple, interactive style and adapted it with Cocoa Daisy papers to fit my own story. From there, I added in journal cards for easy, ready-made filler pages and journaling spots. It’s such a great way to get more use out of the smaller elements in the kit.

The end result is a fun, chunky little book that feels just as cozy as a pile of crunchy fall leaves. I love how the October Glow collection shines in this format—it’s proof that you don’t have to limit your Cocoa Daisy kits to 12x12 layouts or planners. Mini albums are the perfect way to capture seasonal stories in a format that’s easy to flip through and treasure.
