Let the Little Bee Cottage Creative Kit be the Spark!

When I'm in a creative slump, I always know I can rely on the Creative Kit to give the spark I need. The Little Bee Cottage Creative Kit came to the rescue for this spread and helped be build back some creative momentum. Check out this video to see what's inside this kit.
The spark for this spread came from three items from the Little Bee Cottage Creative Kit: the kraft envelopes, the vertical 4x6 card and the washi sticker book (totally obsessed with these!). I didn't have a single photo picked out; I just wanted to play and see what happened.
This scrappy spiral notebook has a different grid design for adding photos, ephemera and stamping. This layout had a perfectly sized column on the right to stack three of the washi stickers. Once on the page, the washi stickers were perfect spots for little embellishment clusters. The envelope also fit so nicely on the page with the 4x6 adhered. To match the aesthetic of the page, I roughed up and inked the edges of the card. It's subtle, but it helps the cards blend with the envelope underneath.
Once I completed the left page, I had a sense of what story I wanted to tell on the right page. The quote on the cards talked about cancelled plans and cozy home vibes. I went through my phone to find three photo's from a chill day at home, cat in my lap and my husband playing guitar. Definitely matches the feel of the page, don' tyou think? I printed on photo larger and backed it with a page from the Little Bee Cottage Simple Notebook. I always think of the notebook as a paper pad that I can trim, punch or rip pages out to my heart's content.
My "Title" is a song lyric that I love, fitting for the photo above it. I chose some alphas for a few words of the title and then wrote the rest. To finish up the spread, I stamped a few image, and made some embellishment clusters with the clear stickers and rub-on's.
