Less Mess, No Stress...Stickers!

If you are like me, you have loved stickers since your childhood days. Part of the love stemmed from the ease of use even at a very young age. There was no trimming involved or searching for glue or tape. It was as simple as peeling and sticking, wherever you wanted! As memory keepers, it is useful to have products that make the process simple and one that you will keep coming back to enjoy. The Cocoa Daisy Cranberry Rose Collection included stickers in many shapes and sizes. The adhesive-backed die cuts are the newest addition to the sticker family, making it simple to peel and stick the die-cut embellishments to your heart's content!
Our Design Team has quite the affinity for stickers, too. In today's post, we have three sticker-happy layouts that feature the variety of stickers that Cocoa Daisy Memory Keeping Kits have to offer you. First, let's see how Traci used a collage and cutout technique for documenting a very special moment.
"It's possible that I may have gone a little sticker CRAZY with my layout, but I love it so! I was inspired by all the lovely cut-out December Daily pages with cut-outs in the shape of trees or plain circles, to name a few. I recently bought a new iMac, and with the cut-out inspiration in mind, I had the epiphany to use the Apple logo!
First, I cut out the logo on my silhouette, then on a piece of plain cardstock. Next, I started layering my embellishments and stickers in the hole where the apple would be. I used a mix of chipboard stickers, enamel dots, and die cuts (with adhesive backing!) from the Cranberry Rose Memory Keeping: Pocket Kit.
When I was mostly done with that, I used foam tape to adhere the top piece to the bottom so that it would pop up and away from the stickers, creating a shadowbox effect. Finally, I embellished the top piece with my photo, using mainly white foam stickers to keep that clean look I attribute to Apple! A unique occasion deserves an innovative design like this! We love that Traci used the story to determine the cutout shape and created such a fantastic collage of stickers inside your cutout. Providing a boundary for the stickers makes the layout feel clean and purposeful. Next, we have a layout from April.
"My tag obsession continues. In this spread, I am demonstrating that grouping stickers by color are a fun and easy way to layer elements. I chose stickers and embellishments based on the tag colors and offset them to spread out the design across the page. I stuck to three color groupings to create a visual triangle of embellished clusters. With all the color on the page, I love the look of a crisp black and white photo."
April shows us that grouping like colors together is a wonderful way to create balance with your embellishments. Using a Black and White photo gives contrast to the page ensuring the photo is not competing with the embellishments
For our final spread, I have a memory planner layout, featuring the Cranberry Rose Memory Keeping Sticker Kit.
Memory planning does not get much easier than a planner, photos, and stickers. Luckily for me, that was all I needed to put this spread together. Over the past year, I have stayed consistent with this style, thanks to my simple process.
First, I select my photos and place them in a collage app and print either on my main printer or my Epson Picturemate photo printer (available on Amazon). Next, I adhere to my photos, making sure I have enough room for the stories and the decorations. Once I’ve identified the journaling boxes, I go ahead and decorate.
When it comes to memory planning, I always look forward to receiving the Memory Keeping Sticker Kit each month. This kit is uniquely designed for the big, letter size Happy Planner, with decorative boxes to fit inside the weekly columns. This sticker kit also includes washi strips, two sets of alphas, labels, phrase strips, and an entire page of gorgeous quotes. The quote stickers definitely come in handy when I can’t find the words to tell my story.
The majority of this design was accomplished with just that sticker kit. I also included some of the chipboard stickers, enamel dots, puffy alphas available in the Cranberry Rose Memory Keeping: Pocket Kit and the Cranberry Rose Traveler’s Notebook Memory Keeping Kit.
The newest addition to the Cocoa Daisy sticker family is, wait for it…the die cuts! Yes, the die-cuts now have an adhesive backing, making it so much more convenient to use them!
