Joy of Journaling with Lillian's Garden Kits

Hello, friends! Creating a consistent journaling practice benefits your overall health and wellness. We think a decorated journal increases your enjoyment of the practice, too!   https://youtu.be/3d6DEkPsM7c   This year, I am using the horizontal pages from the Daisy Planner to jot down a few things each day. I love utilizing the horizontal pages in this way because it limits the space I need to "fill" while also acting as a reference tool for my memory planning pages.   To create this spread, I utilized various elements from the Lillian's Garden Traveler‚Äôs Notebook Memory-Keeping Kit and the Lillian's Garden Planner Add-On Kit. I started by layering washi along the top border and included a few label die cuts a the stitch rub-ons in the top corner for decoration.¬†   I like to create journal spots within the sections of each day. To do this, I traced one of the quote cards from the Lillian's Garden Traveler‚Äôs Notebook Memory-Keeping Kit. Other options include creating lines with a pen or highlighting and using large box stickers. Around three of the journal spots I stamped floral elements using the Spring Garden Stamp Set using a masking technique to avoid stamping inside the journal box. I wanted to the journal spots to have a stitched, imperfect border so I used the stitch stamp from the Lillian's Garden Traveler‚Äôs Notebook Memory-Keeping Kit to achieve this look.¬†     The pocket cards from the Lillian's Garden Modern Memory Keeping Kit often have such wonderful quotes that work well inside my journal. I included one here, having it overlap a little with Friday's section for visual interest. To make the journal spot fit, I traced the quote card in a vertical alignment and embellished it with a few die cuts. Decorating this spread made it all the more fun to fill in!
