Hello, Friends! We hope you are having as much fun with the Tranquility Collection as we are. The mix of zen-like greens and pops of black, mixed media elements make this collection so fun and versatile. We wanted to take time to focus on two products that are pretty special to Cocoa Daisy Kits - the Rub On's and the die cuts. The die cuts are a staple in several of the memory-keeping kits including the Modern Memory Keeping Kit, Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, and the Classified: Memory Keeping Kit. But these are just any die cuts - they are also stickers! A majority of the die cuts now come backed with adhesive, making it so easy to select and stick! The rub ons are specialty items that pop up every few months. For this collection, they can be found in the Tranquility Modern Memory Keeping Kit, Tranquility Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, and the Tranquility Planner Add-on Kit.  Let's see what the Memory Keeping Team created with these two items.  Aimee was pretty excited to showcase the rub-ons in this layout. "Hi, it’s Aimee here to share this super cute 8.5x11 mixed media layout with you all. I absolutely love how this one turned out! I used tons of fun elements and textures from the Tranquility Collection! I really wanted to focus on all the amazing rub ons included in the Tranquility Modern Memory Keeping Kit, and the Modern Memory Keeping Kit. I went ahead and added some purple watercolor behind my photo and dug into the Tranquility Classified: Memory Keeping Kit for some texture and dimension using the fun green ribbon, wood veneer pieces, and patterned paper on the corners. Next, I went rub-on crazy. I am pretty sure I used every single faux stitching rub-on I could find — tucking them behind my photo and under my wood veneer title. The “rooting for you” rub-on was a cute play on words and just perfect for my photo! I even added a butterfly for the perfect touch of garden whimsy. Cocoa Daisy’s rub ons are ridiculously fun and easy to use. It almost looks as if the rub ons are a part of my mixed media! I hope this inspired you to take a closer look at your rub ons this month whether they are from the newest Tranquility kit or maybe some you have in your stash. Happy creating!" We love how Aimee played up the mixed media and garden feel in this gorgeous spread. The collection is "green forward", which is great for mixing in other colors of your choosing. Aimee's splash of purple is so lovely and really highlights the flowers in her photo. I had so much fun using the rub-on's and die cuts to work on this week in my memory planner. I had no trouble focusing on the rub ons from the Tranquility Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and die cuts for this layout. There were so many wonderful ones to choose from. I especially love the label die cuts from the Tranquility Classified: Memory Keeping Kit. The rub ons from the Tranquility Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit (still available in the shop) were a perfect mix of green things and mixed media touches. I selected several from the sheet to sprinkle around my layout. For this cluster, I used several rub ons and layered them together. To create this, and to avoid a rub-on mishap, I actually used clear sticker paper for the base of the quote. Once the quote was on the sticker paper, I placed it over the scribble element. I feel like a broken record, but I will take any chance I can to rave about the die cuts that come in the kits. Not only do you receive a heap of them, but they are adhesive-backed, making them stickers. This was true of the large alpha die cuts as well found in the Tranquility Classified: Memory Keeping Kit. Having the adhesive on the alphas makes using them a cleaner and simple process. I love adding large alphas in my memory planner to create titles that tell the story for me, as I did here with my "Work From Home" abbreviation.  I love to cluster die cuts together as I did in the bottom box to document our weekend happenings. Make sure to check out the process video on my YouTube Channel to see how I organize and stories die cuts and rub ons and to see how I put these pages together.
