Hello and welcome to Wednesday!
We are talking tags and tabs on the blog today. Which one is your favorite? I did a little poll on my Instagram stories and tags won out over tabs, but it was a slimish margin. DT members Mel and Casie are sharing how they use tags and tabs to tell their stories.
Mel has a lovely Travelers Notebook design for us today. “Hello friends! What a fun challenge we have today, tags and tabs!! Those two items are a must have staple in my creative tool box!!“
“The tags are ideal for my journaling, especially in a TN!! The tabs are not only a convenient item to tuck underneath a picture, they also make a great embellishment!”
“As you can see I’ve used the tabs to create pretty little clusters to compliment my design on the opposing page! Happy creating!”
There is just something about Mel’s TN layouts that draw us right in. She has a beautiful eye for design and color. I look forward to seeing Mel’s clusters so that I can copy them!
Casie is sharing a Memory Keeping Happy Planner layout with pocket cards, exclusive papers and the clever use of die cuts as tabs for her flip ups.
“Hi Daisy fans! Casie here to chat flip ups and tip ins within your memory keeping spreads. I love interactive elements (my favorite children's books are the ones with little doors to open).“
“When I opened the Noted kit I knew I wanted to create a spread focused on love. Instead of documenting our memories for this week, I approached the spread as a scrapbook layout filled with love notes.”
“Under the interactive elements I included journaling and photos of my boys, my husband and even our fluffy pup. I know this spread will be one I enjoy looking back on in the years to come.”
Casie has a video about her memory keeping with the Love Notes kit which you can view here.
So have you decided? Tags or tabs? I think we’re in love with both here at Cocoa Daisy. We would love to see your Love Notes designs in our private Facebook group or by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media.
Happy crafting!
