Double the Inspiration with the Into the Blue Planner Kit!
Hello, friends!
The Let's Go Planner Kit is the perfect catalyst for setting up your planners, journals and notebook. We are sharing two setups from our Creative Team to inspire you to grab this kit and get crafty!
Kim Oedekoven: Ship Shape
I can only imagine what a mariner log would look like, which inspired my Into the Blue Planner Kit project! Using one of the included kit papers, trimmed .25 inches off the top and stapled onto the spine of the existing Into the Blue Standard-Size Daisy Notebooks. I folded the top patterned paper up to create a wrap-around pocket and the back side, just folded it over to create a closure.
Underneath, on the kraft paper cover the notebook comes with, I placed one of the adhesive pockets from the Into the Blue Planner Kit to keep my kit sticky notes in. Then for decoration, I transferred 2 of the fantastic rub-ons above to complete the front cover.
Playing off the nautical theme, I put one of the sticky-backed die-cut tabs to support the hole I punched for threading some rope through. This allows me to wrap the twine around the entire notebook and tuck in the ends for closure. The interior cover flap is also a perfect place to put another adhesive pocket, this time to store some creative stickers.
Rachel Newman: DIY Dividers with Into the Blue Planner Kit
My favorite part of receiving the Planner Kit each month is dreaming up my plans for my dividers! While I could absolutely use the dividers available with the Into the Blue Divider Kit, it is so much fun to create my own! I loved this tag paper from the Into the Blue Planner Kit and used it as the base of my first divider. To embellish, I pulled phrase stickers from the Into the Blue Memory Keeping Sticker Kit and the Into the Blue Classic Cousin Sticker Kit and included them on several of the tag illustrations.
This more subdued pattern paper from the Into the Blue Planner Kit was the perfect foundation for a layered embellish, like the tag sticky note from the same kit, backed with paper from the Into the Blue Simple Notebook and embellished with a sticker from the washi book found in the Into the Blue Creative Kit. I love how the washi sticker pairs with the tab from the Into the Blue Planner Kit.
I loved this paper, but didn't want to embellish too much, as to distract from the stunning illustration. This "go with the flow" clear sticker from the Into the Blue Classic Cousin Sticker Kit was exactly what this divider needed!
