Hello, friends!
It is hard to document all the seasonal details, so why not choose a few favorites to focus on? You can do so in a traveler's notebook and even create a whole mini book of your fall favorites.
Jil Larson: Simple Dori Spread
A fall favorite for me could be described as cozy feet. This notebook page celebrates new boots and a drawer full of Smart Wool socks, my favorite. The Doodles & Dashes II Collection was a great source of colors, sentiments, stamps, and embellishments for this scrapbook journal page.
I began by matting all three of my photos on the dark polka dot paper from the Doodles & Dashes II Modern Memory Keeping Kit so they would stand out against the bright colors. I did a little extra layering under my photo on the left and then created a wide border along the bottom of both pages with the delightful leaves paper. I included a few more strips of paper with a bit of stitching to complete the layers under the photos.
On a piece of white paper, I stamped a grid from one of the past memory-keeping stamps and then used the 10 from the stamp set in the Autumn Thicket Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kitcombining it with stamps from fall kits, including Doodles & Dashes II Memory Keeping Stamps The “getting cozy” stamp from the Doodles & Dashes II Modern Memory Keeping Kit was perfect for this layout! I adhered this stamped collage to the top of my left page and repeated the stamping around the page. My title starts on the left and continues onto the right side of the spread. It uses a variety of alphabet stamps from the collection as well.
I love the die cuts and puffy stickers from Doodles & Dashes II Modern Memory Keeping Kit and so my photos are framed by them. I wanted this layering and framing to add to the cozy vibe of my page celebrating new boots and wool socks. Have fun scrapbooking your definition of cozy!
Traci Reed: October Daily Spread
Every year I love to make a list of my faves for fall in my October Daily, and normally it's variants on the same theme, which I think is a fun consistency in my albums!
For this page, I paired that gorgeous TN Insert with the matching planner paper to create this simple page with a pocket for a tag with hidden journaling!
Rachel Newman: Mini Dori Spread
I was so excited t see that the Doodles & Dashes II Kit Planner Add-On Kit came with a notepad holder and knew immediately what to do with it. Combine with the Doodles & Dashes Mini Daisy Dori, I would put it to work as a Fall Favorites mini book! Check out this Instagram Reel to see how I turned it into a traveler's notebook cover. With the cover complete, I was ready to start documenting Fall Favorites. The change of season definitely brings a change in our meal planning. I wanted to document three food favorites for these autumn months. These are new staples and definitely wanted to document that using the Doodles and Dashes II Collection.
First, let's talk about the photos. Rather than try to capture the food I cooked, I went to the internet to grab these photos. Another option would be trimming photos from magazines to get the same cozy and autumnal vibe. After I printed the photos (2x3 inches) I trimmed down a glassine bag to make a pocket for the photos. For each photo, I attached tabs from the Doodles & Dashes Kit II Planner Add-On Kit at the top of each photo and embellished them with sentiments from the Doodles & Dashes II Memory Keeping Sticker Kit.
On the pocket, I stamped repeatedly a sentiment from the Doodles & Dashes II Memory Keeping Stamps on a die-cut label. I back the photo with a card from the Doodles & Dashes II Modern Memory Keeping Kit and embellished the rest of the page with die cuts and puffy stickers from the same kit.
For the title, I played with the size and font of the words. To make sure it fit, I started with the largest letters and stamped these out with the General Store Alpha Stamp Set. Above the word "food" I used all alpha stickers from the Doodles & Dashes II Daisy Add-On Sticker Kit. To finish up the title, I stamped the "autumn favorites" stamp from the Autumn Thicket Modern Memory Keeping Kit. Using a masking technique, I was able to just get the part of the stamp I wanted for the title. I finished the page with a few embellishments including rub-ons, die-cuts, and puffy stickers. Working in a small size means this page came together in a snap!
