Document the Season with a Mini Album!
Hello, friends! There is something so whimsical about a mini album for December, don't you think? Here is a fun idea to try if you agree!

Jennie McGarvey: December Mini Album

Creating a December album, or a December Daily album wasn't on my radar at all. However, when I saw the Frost & Frolic Collection and the Christmas Bonus Kit, I couldn't help myself. I mean, they are both so cute, I absolutely love them. Then, I was sick and in bed and I decided since I wasn't able to enjoy all the festivities as much as usual, I decided to document them and enjoy them that way.

I kept it VERY simple. I wanted to add lots of layers, adding 3x4 cards in between the pages when they fit the photos and stories. I also wanted to make sure to add in both chipboard and rub-ons, in addition to the usual die cuts that I always use.

A couple of pages include stickers or die cuts directly on photos. I find this to be such a fun way to really draw attention to the photo. Even if it's super simple. It can be just one element and it looks really adorable!
Another thing I couldn't help but was to use the frames. I absolutely love them. Both times I used them at an angle and then add die cuts and glitter dots to accent the frame. I love how they turned out - especially when it's an embellishment to the journaling.

Speaking of journaling, that was one thing I wanted to make sure I added a lot of. Several of the photos had a story behind them. The photos would have looked nice on their own, but the story really made them extra fun or special and I didn't want to forget.

I'm loving the kits even more now that I've used them on these pages. It's so easy to use and really highlights my photos and stories, even if they are really simple!
