Traci Reed: Daily Rhythms with Moss & Mirth Kits

One of my favorite things about scrapbooking is how it gives me the chance to capture not just the big memories, but also the everyday rhythms of our life. For this page, I wanted to document a full day in the kitchen, prepping healthy meals for the week and filling our home with food made with love. The Moss & Mirth Scrapbooking Kit, with its earthy tones and cozy vibe, and food-related sentiments, was the perfect match for this story.

I started with a background from the Moss & Mirth 12x12 Paper Kit that had a warm, rustic feel — it set the stage for the photos of soups, muffins, and homemade bread. The collection has so many beautiful patterns that lend themselves well to a grid design, so I decided to use one of my go-to structures: six squares that let me balance journaling spots, photos, and embellishments without overwhelming the page.

Each square highlights something different: egg sandwiches and breakfast burritos, bone broth, homemade bread, and even pickled red onions. I love that by arranging them all together, I was able to create a snapshot of what a day of kitchen prep looks like in our home. The journaling card in the center gave me space to add some heartfelt words about why this time in the kitchen matters to me — it’s more than food, it’s an act of care for my family.

The embellishments in Moss & Mirth Scrapbooking Kit brought everything together perfectly. The little mushrooms, seasonal labels, and phrase die cuts like “Full Belly, Happy Heart” really echoed the themes of nourishment and gratitude. I layered labels to number each photo, almost like a menu, which helped create flow across the page and gave it a playful touch.

What I love most about this layout is that it’s a reminder that our everyday routines are worth documenting. Cooking might not be a “big” event, but it’s such a huge part of what makes our home feel like home. With the Moss & Mirth Scrapbooking Kit, I was able to capture not just the food itself, but the warmth and intention behind it.
