When it comes to notebooks and journaling I have a tendency to switch up the size of my notebook. Recently, I've been enjoying a smaller size notebook (passport 3.5 x 5) and lucky for me, it is really easy to alter my Chapters Simple Notebook to accommodate this change in size. Added bonus: I trimmed down several pages from my Chapters Weeks Notebook to make a perfectly customized notebook for journaling!

Trimming down the notebooks is a breeze. I started by removing the staples, chose the pages I wanted to include and trimmed them to the desired size. With my notebook assembled, I used the twine from the tag found in the Chapters Creative Kit to secure the notebook together. When I have completed the notebook I will stitch the binding together for increased security. 

And now the fun part: decorating! The Chapters Creative Kit has so many fun goodies to create with. My favorite items are the coffee stain stencil paired with the ink and blender. I love the size of the blender for this delicate stencil. 

I love that the Chapters Simple Notebook had a tag design. They make the perfect spot for the little die cuts from this kit. 

Another favorite from the Chapters Creative Kit are the rub-on's. Here, I created a little scene with several of the rub-on's. They melt into the page so beautifully, wouldn't you agree?
