Combining Stamps and Stickers in Your Memory Keeping Designs
I then created a fun textural cluster and a messy border to finish things off. If I can offer one word of advice it is to not limit yourself by thinking that your supplies need to be used in a certain way. Think outside the box, pun intended!" We’ll forgive Aimee for not using a planner (maybe we can convince her!), especially because she was able to repurpose the memory planning stickers so beautifully. The use of the scribbles stamp, juxtaposed with the clean lines of her layers is very eye-catching.
Next, we have a layout from Ashley with quite possibly the loveliest progress tracker we have ever seen! "Hello! Today, I’m sharing a minimalistic layout combining stamps and stickers from the New Chapter Memory Keeping Collection. One of my resolutions this year is to do yoga every day, so I made a 6x8 layout to celebrate my progress. The white cardstock included in the new modern memory keeping kit is the perfect base for a quick layout like this. On the left side of the page, I used the black ombre number stickers from the New Chapter Memory Keeping Sticker Kit. On the right side, I created a pattern with the arrow stamp from the New Chapter Modern Memory Keeping Kit. Next, I matted a 2x3 photo of myself doing yoga on a scrap piece of white cardstock. I added foam tape to the back for extra dimension and put it in the center of the page. Then, I placed a chipboard sticker underneath the photo and called my page done. So easy peasy! Happy creating!" We love how seamless the stickers and stamps are on this layout – it all looks like a patterned paper, but was actually created by Ashley. Wow! Ashley’s use of the dates stickers is fun and functional, which makes it FUNctional! Lastly, Natasha shares how she combines stamps and stickers from the Denim and Blush Collection in her Cocoa Daisy Planner that she is utilizing as a gratitude journal. "This year I am so happy to be getting back into the routine of a daily gratitude practice. I am using the horizontal layout from the NEW Daisy Planner as my Gratitude/"Daily Win" Journal. I have learned that the best way for me to complete this daily is to pre-date and decorate ahead of time.  I used the stamp set in the Denim and Blush Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and primarily the Denim and Blush Daisy Sticker Add On Kit and Denim and Blush Memory Keeping Sticker Kit. Using these kits made each weekly spread came together so quickly and effortlessly. I was able to use this one stamp set a different way each week. I used the longer decorative elements to create a border on my page. Don't be afraid to try pairing a sentiment stamp with a decorative element for a doubled border. The second week, I paired the heart icon stamp with the date stickers from the Denim and Blush Memory Keeping Sticker Kit. I also used these to create a "Love List" to showcase three different events I want to highlight that week. The hearts icon stamp serves almost as a bullet point to draw in your attention. For week 3, I used the arrow stamp as a way to highlight each day of the week. This would also be a great way to emphasize a specific word in your journaling and/or planner. Lastly, I used the dotted border stamp as a lined area within my planner to give special focus to a mantra for the week. Now, I'll all set to write down things I'm grateful for!" Natasha's use of stamps and stickers in her Cocoa Daisy Planner allows for plenty of room for journaling, while still adding beautiful decoration around her pages.
