There’s something about a beach layout that calls for a bold, joyful design—and for this page, I knew a sunburst pattern would be the perfect way to capture that feeling. Using several patterned papers from the Mediterranean Muse 12x12 Paper Add On, I cut the papers into long triangles. I then arranged them to radiate from the center of the page in the upper half of the layout. It gives the page a warm, energetic vibe that mirrors the golden hour light in the photos.
 
 
 
 
To make each patterned segment stand out a little more, I added stitching along the edges of each piece. Not only did that help define the lines of the sunburst, but it also brought in some extra texture and gave the page a slightly handmade, breezy feel—kind of like beachy embroidery. I used coordinating thread colors to match the patterns, and even though it took a little time, the effect was totally worth it.
 
 
  
 
I kept the rest of the layout fairly grounded to balance out all the movement in the background. The photos and title sit across a calm strip of map paper that helps anchor the page visually. A few beachy embellishments from the Mediterranean Muse Scrapbooking Kit, like the crab, anchor, and palm tree, tie everything together, while layered labels and tabs add that extra bit of storytelling.
 
 
  
This was one of those layouts that really reminded me how much fun it can be to lean into papers, especially with papers as gorgeous as these! The sunburst stitching and nautical patterns worked together so well, and now this little moment from our trip feels just as sunny on paper as it did in real life.
