August Memory Keeping Guest Creator Recap | Heather Guy

August Memory Keeping Guest Creator Recap | Heather Guy
Welcome back to another monthly guest creator recap! Heather Guy used our Spice Market kits to get some memory keeping done! Here are the projects Heather created and a bit of her though process for each: I fell in love right away when I received the Spice Market kits from Cocoa Daisy for August!!! The colors, the patterns, all the mandalas (oh those stamps!), the puffy alphas, got me so excited to start creating!! I took everything from each kit and just mixed it all up and created this page of my niece and I swimming! Instead of using mixed media on my background, I chose to use the rub-ons from the kit for the appearance of splatters! I did add some stamping directly to the background using the stamps in the kit! I then finished it all up with some machine stitching around the edges! Hope you enjoy my layout as much as I love these kits!     Wow! What can I say about this Spice Market collection? It‚Äôs gorgeous and so versatile!! I decided to use this collection to create a Travelers Notebook for my mom of the 2 cruises she has went on this year! For this page, I pulled out a stencil from stash to create the suns rays for the background! I loved adding pops of blue and pink to the orange and yellow backgrounds, including using the stamps for some added layering. I also stamped the tags on the pattern paper using the tag stamp in the kit and added some twine from my stash! Can‚Äôt wait to surprise mom with this fun way to document her trips!
My goodness I love these Spice Market collections! I’ve taken the Travelers Notebook and Memory Keeping collections and combined them to create this fun layout of me eating some delicious sushi! I used a stencil with distress oxide inks to create the background and then added lots of splatters! Those puffy alphas are a fave!! I also used the General Store Alpha Stamp Set from the Cocoa Daisy store to stamp my title! I love these stamps and use them frequently!!!
We hoped you enjoyed following along with Heather this month! We cannot wait to see what you create in September with our Daisy Fields collections.
