Hello and happy Tuesday! Today, we're sharing ideas on how to add that extra bit of gold to your Traveler's Notebooks this month. Two of our Memory Keeping team members agreed to show you how they made their TNs pop with gold embellishments and spray inks. Just that little extra bit of glimmery gold is all it takes to make a spread reach the next level of design. Traci Reed has a single page for us and also included a video. Photographing her project with a few different angles shows of the golden accents even more! She says of her project: This year, I'm participating in October Daily and I couldn't resist using these gorgeous gold foil outlined leaves on this page about finding a fall leaf in the wild! I printed my title and quote in circles on vellum and then instead of using any patterned paper, I just stacked up the leaves behind the vellum! It was a super fun and easy page! To really amp up the gold, I used some gold Heidi Swapp Color shine too! April used the same gold foiled leaves that came in the Flannel & Frost Memory Keeping kits, but depending on her design, went very different results. The first is this two-page spread in her Simple Dori. She says: I wanted to mimic a pocket page type layout in the TN. Simple lines, all the golden pocket cards and embellies...fun, fast page. We say she did just what she set out to do! And second, this beautiful kaleidoscope of leaves, April says: Inspired by the golden leaves, I wanted the photo to be the star of the layout. I knew I wanted photos to dance down the page with the stamped leaves. Printing smaller, black and white versions of the same photo was the perfect solution.
