We Love You, Blush and Blue.

We Love You, Blush and Blue.
Hello, friends! We are completely smitten with all the gorgeous blush and blue tones found in the Denim and Blush Collection and our design team is, too. We have two stunning designs focusing on the main two hues in the February kits. Ashley incorporates the blush and blues documenting the things she loves in this 6x8 layout. "Hello! Today, I have a sweet and simple layout in my Project Life album to share. I love the soft pinks and rich blues in the Denim & Blush collection. It’s a great combination for telling stories during the wintry months. This floral-patterned card is my favorite in the Denim and Blush Modern Memory Keeping Kit, and I built the rest of my spread around it. After I pulled a few coordinating cards, I decided to document a love list for January. I always enjoy taking note of the things I’m loving right now. It’s an easy way to incorporate a quick overview of the month too. I hope you are inspired and have fun creating!" We love how Ashley starting with one element, the floral pocket card, and built her spread from there. Notice how she layered the chipboard piece on top of the circle label. This really makes the label pop against the floral pocket card. Aimee’s love of layers and little mixed media really shines in this spread. "Hi Daisy lovers, it’s Aimee here today with a fun, floral 8.5”x11” layout about my boy— who says boy layouts can’t be pink?! I wanted to focus on the blues and pinks in the Denim and Blush kits because I mean, that’s what the kit was named for after all! I started by using a paper from the Denim and Blush Classified: Memory Keeping Kit as my background paper and layered on some plain white card-stock off-center for a funky-fresh look. I then did some “watercolor” with the gorgeous pink stamp pad that came in the Denim and Blush Modern Memory Keeping Kit. Yes, you read that right! To “paint” with the stamp pad, all you need to do is stamp onto a piece of acetate, packaging, or even a stamp block and add a small amount of water. I found that the color matched perfectly with the kit embellishments and made a great background for my photos and title. I then got to work layering up all those wonderful blue labels and florals adding descriptive phrase stickers onto each for a waterfall look. I titled this layout, Sweetest Boy with the lovely blush pink alphas and stitched right through them for some added texture and I’m calling this page a success. I hope you find some inspiration today to make something blush and blue too!" How clever that Aimee used stamp ink to "paint" her watercolor background? This layout is also a great reminder that pink and pretty florals can embellish any spread. Make sure to check out her process video on her YouTube Channel. Are you crushing on the colors in the Denim and Blush Collection like we are? We would love to see it!
