Using the Daisy Dori to Support Your Main Planner

Using the Daisy Dori to Support Your Main Planner
Rachel here, and for today's post, I am going to gush about my love for the Daisy Dori! But to start, I have a confession to make. My Daisy Dori is not my main planner. For the better half of this year, I have used the Passion Planner for my main, catch-all planner. With the Passion Planner, I have the ability to forward plan and the size allows for enough space to plan "all the things". So, what about my Daisy Dori? I'm glad you asked! Over the past year, I have used the Daisy Dori, in various sizes, to support my main planner. Typically, whatever goal I'm trying to focus on that month dictates the Daisy Dori's purpose. I've used it to track my health and wellness, my faith, for memory keeping, as a work planner, and currently, as my creative content planner. By giving the Daisy Dori a specific purpose, I have a place to put all of my tasks, lists, ideas, and creative practices with more detail than I would have in my main planner. The front weekly pages hold my creative team due dates and things I want to remember to post or work on each day. Plus, more room to get creative with my Cocoa Daisy kit items! For the week above, I mixed in items from the Acorn Lane kits and the Book Club Kit from September (2019). I love having an additional opportunity to get creative with my planners. Often, the techniques I experiment with within this planner inspire my decoration in other projects, like my memory planner! My main planner has a consistent weekly layout, but in my Daisy Dori, I love to switch it up! This is the beauty of this format. The weekly boxes are completely blank, which means you can customize your layout completely. For November, I used a vertical, horizontal, and dashboard (week on 1 page) layout, all in the same insert! The Daisy Dori is perfect for people like me who love the idea of bullet journaling, but often can commit to it long term. The front weeklies have a graph background, making it easy to draw different layouts. As part of my daily creative practice, I like having a place to journal and just play with stickers, stamps, washi, and color. The back weekly pages are perfect for this! The amount of space is easy to fill and is a perfect way to end the day! I would be remiss if I did not mention what a delight it is to write on this paper! The paper is thick and smooth, which means no bleed-through from my pens and stamps. I believe good, quality paper makes you want to write down your thoughts! Having a daily journal also helps me with my memory keeping. I have a hard time remembering what I did yesterday (or what day it is), but I am much more likely to remember a few details reviewing these pages. All that to say, I think you might need a Daisy Dori in your life! Head to my YouTube channel to hear me share a little more about my Daisy Dori's. If you already a Daisy Dori lover, how do you use yours?
