Telling Your Stories with the Acorn Lane Pocket Kit
Hello Cocoa Daisy friends, On the blog today the design team is sharing layouts using the Acorn Lane pocket kit. We have a traditional 12x12 design and a pocket page design for you. Our pocket kits come with traditional 3x4 and 4x6 pocket cards as well as various embellishments, exclusive papers, and a surprise. While some items are staples in the kit, others are unique to a specific collection and that's the surprise and fun of using these kits! Let's begin with a pocket page layout from Casie. She tells us, "I'm here with with a pocket card explosion! I created an interactive, flip-up journaling card pocket page layout. To create this layout, I started with the 4 vertical 3x4 card pocket page protectors. This layout allows for more flip-up journaling cards and space for photos." "I adhere tabs or stickers to the journal cards that flip-up to serve as a handle to lift the pocket cards. Under the pocket cards, I added an additional pocket to tuck in a tag for hidden journaling." "This layout can be created without the page protectors as well. Flip-up pocket cards work great in journals, planners, and cards as well!" "Click here to view a video explaining my design process." Next we have this traditional layout from Korrie-ann. "At the time I captured this photo, none of us could have known or even imagined that the following year all events would be cancelled. It really does make you appreciate these moments like these." "I wanted to use these 3 pocket cards together but adding a few extra details to them. The pocket card is perfect as a title for my layout, I used a couple of the rubons at the bottom of the card and couldn't resist adding the cute snail." "I loved the doodle effect on the arrows, which gave me the idea to draw around the edges of the cards to look like stitching." "The papers for the background were in the classified kit this month and a perfect size on a 12 by 12 layout. I used two different designs, cut them to the size I liked and then just layered them in place." "I added a couple of die cuts to the corners then finished off my layout with the hand drawn stitching all the way around the page." We enjoy seeing what you are making with your kits and encourage you to share your pocket card layouts in our private facebook group or share with us on social media.
