Nathalie DeSousa: Summer Travel Documenting with the Coconut Cove Kits

Hi there! It’s Nathalie with you today to share some inspiration for your Coconut Cove SimpleDaisy Notebook using the Coconut Cove Scrapbook kit. I love the fun colors and cute designs in the kit and wanted to use them to document a travel story with them. Let’s take a look…

I loved the undersea motif in this spread in my Coconut Cove SimpleDaisy Notebook and wanted to pull some of the colors and look of it onto the left side of the page (the one with a plain ledger). The rub-ons in the Coconut Cove Scrapbook kit are perfect for this, as they are the best way to cheat mixed media along the left edge of the spread. I layered pieces of the splatter like rub-ons to create a colorful edge. Then used some of the other images to stretch the look of the underwater scene to the left side of the page.

I wanted to bring a lot of interest to the edges of the spread, so I used a few more of the rub-ons from the Coconut Cove Scrapbook kit to create the title of the page and add extra details around these borders.

I added my photos, so they lay to the left and right of the center line of the spread. Here is where the stamp included in the Coconut Cove Scrapbook kit comes in handy as I was able to add a few more details to the spread on both sides of the page.

The partial image stamping along with the second-generation stamped images using the stamp in the Coconut Cove Scrapbook kit just add more details and complete the page. I hope this has inspired you to get creative in your Coconut Cove SimpleDaisy Notebook with your Coconut Cove Scrapbook kit. Make sure you share what you are creating with us.
