You cannot mix preorders with regular products
Color is a great way to help tell the story of your project, and there are infinite ways to use color schemes. I've always loved working with a monochromatic, or tone-on-tone, color scheme. It's a fun challenge to pull varying shades of one color from your products and create a project that still has interest.
I used shades of blue for this TN layout, with products from the Wayfarer Modern Memory Keeping Kit, Wayfarer Memory Keeping Sticker Kit, and Wayfarer Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit. I knew that a blue color scheme would go great with pool photos, and I chose a mix of ephemera, rub-ons, alphas, stickers, and a journaling card to build my layout.
All of the blues create a cool color scheme and pick up the color of the water in my photos. I finished the layout, with a few touches of black, just to bring in a bit of contrast. Check out this Instagram Reel to see this spread come together!
This week was dedicated to traveling to a baseball tournament called USA Baseball. Obviously, there was a lot of red, white, and blue involved throughout the week, so I decided to use those colors throughout my layout, with a twist. I chose to use dark blue + aqua primarily with the red.
On the left-hand side of the layout I leaned into the aqua with the stamping ink I chose for the USA alphabet letters. Aren't those General Store Alpha Stamp Set so awesome?! The other way I leaned heavily into the color palette was with the red bullet points.
You can see on the right-hand side of the page where I created a stamped cluster using all three colors and I LOVE IT! All the stamps are so classic and they work well together as do the colors.
Of course, I couldn't help but add a couple of tip-ins using pocket cards from the Wayfarer Modern Memory Keeping Kit to add a little extra room for details from the week, including restaurants we ate at with our 14-year-old son + some overall journaling about the tournament.
It's fun to start with the colors you've chosen as inspiration and it's easy to do with the beautiful Wayfarer Collection.
Color coding has become a crucial part of my planning system. It helps me visually see what my priorities are for the day and is an easy way to break up my tasks. No matter what collection I'm using, I can always find a way to match the kit to my color code.
The Wayfarer Collection was easy to match with my favorite inks and brush pens. One way I color match is with the color block card found in the Wayfarer Planner Add-On Kit. This one card is probably my favorite part of the whole kit. I typically have four things I'm color coding: Blue for Home/Admin, Yellow for Work, Red or Orange for Content, and Pink for Personal. Almost every collection has these tones, it is just a matter of finding the right hue. Sometimes, it is not a perfect match and that is OK. 
When I'm choosing stickers, I try to choose ones that work with my color coding. I used the labels from the Wayfarer Classic Sticker Kit for the headers of my different lists in my color code. 
Since I work from home and set my own schedule, I like to give each day a main task or two. To bring emphasis to this, I highlight the task in my today "section". This helps to make sure I am not spending too much time in one area of my life.
