It all started with the idea of layering pieces together on both sides of the spread; therefore, I chose a spread that had a simple ledger and a print together. The end result showcases how easy it is to layer more than just papers in a spread.

 

 

I started by working the left side of my spread in the Simple Daisy Notebook. The idea is to start with a base layer; I am choosing to add the ledger sentiment from the Layered Fragments Stamp Set and black ink. Then it was all about adding rub-ons, and pieces of washi sheets and washi tape, all from the Field Notes and Florals Creative Kit, and making sure that the image fills the left and bottom edge of the ledger portion.

 

 

To continue with the layered look of the border, I kept on adding similar pieces, but only portions of them as the border went up the left side of the page. I added a full sentiment phrase from the Layered Fragments Stamp Set to help me with the journaling placement.

 

 

Now, for the right side of the spread, it was all about layering physical pieces from the Field Notes and Florals Creative Kit. To dim the pattern behind the layers, first I used a bit of white acrylic paint -using thin brushstrokes-. Once it dries, the canvas is ready for all the layers, all you need is strong adhesive

 

 

I pulled pieces from the Field Notes and Florals Creative Kit and decided to give this side a subtitle. I love the washi sheet pad in the Field Notes and Florals Creative Kit, and added one of them, at the very bottom right corner of the photo, at a slight angle- to add extra sentiment to the photo. I hope this has inspired you to get creative in your SimpleDaisy Notebook with your Field Notes and Florals Creative Kit and  Layered Fragments Stamp Set.
