Tai Cortes: Simple Notebook Scrapbooking with Cozy Season

Hello crafty friends! It is Tai and I am back with a layout in my Cozy Season Simple Notebook. The rich colors in the Cozy Season Collection end themselves to great fall storytelling. I am using the contents of the Cozy Season Scrapbooking Kit with the Cozy Season Simple Notebook for this project.

The kit tags from the  Cozy Season Scrapbooking Kit are amazing; I needed to use one of them for my first project. I selected the ‘October’ tag to layer on top of the chevron stripes paper in the Cozy Season Simple Notebook. To utilize the back of the tag to hold my journaling, I thought of adhering it with a brad and having it swivel to read hidden journaling. Or if it was attached on top and scored, it could flip up and reveal journaling, too. But, I decided to make a simple vellum pocket instead. That way the tag could be tucked behind and easily taken out to read the journaling on the backside.

I went back into my camera roll to find a photo of my daughter and I at the pumpkin patch. Here in Florida, it’s still 90 degrees in the fall, but we still do fall activities. My little one loves to pick out her pumpkin for her room.

To add more detail to the layout, I added all three golden vellum leaves, a few leaf stickers, and a cluster of die cuts in the bottom right corner of my photo. Adding more than one die cut creates great layering at a focal point for a layout. I added the word ‘joy’ with the kit’s puffy letters and was pleased with how it turned out.

I simply loved working in the Cozy Season Simple Notebooki and I hope I’ve inspired you to document your stories inside it.
