Simple Dori Saturday: Interactive Elements with the Winter Twilight Collection
Hello, friends! It‚Äôs ‚ÄúSimple Dori Saturday‚Äù and we are looking at ways to add interactive elements to your Simple Dori Spreads. You can always take your notebook apart to add interactive pieces, but there are ways to add interaction without all that fuss. Today, our Creative Team shares their tip-ins, flips, and flaps that make their spreads just a little more fun! Pocket pages aren‚Äôt just for albums! Odessa shares how she included one, with a shaker pocket, in her Simple Dori design. I‚Äôm just finally sitting down to work on my 2020 December album right now and I thought I‚Äôd start with a little sparkle using the Winter Twilight Collection! I‚Äôm working on my Traveler‚Äôs Notebook and wanted to add a bit of tip-in. I took a pocket page with 4 - 3x4 pockets in it and cut it down the middle leaving a little extra on the side to tape down. To adhere to the pocket page inside the insert, I used the plaid tape from the Winter Twilight Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit. In the top pocket, I put in a December journal card from the Winter Twilight Modern Memory Keeping Kit. The second pocket I stuffed with sequins from the Winter Twilight Classified: Memory Keeping Kit and added one of the snarky snowflakes from the Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit. I sealed it up with a thin line of clear glue. Finally, I added some stickers from the Winter Twilight Memory Keeping Sticker Kit including a little tab at the side and a December definition sticker on the other side. The pockets add a nice extra layer to the page!   There are lots of fun flips and flaps in April's black and white spread. I loved the black and white papers and elements throughout the Winter Twilight Collection. I layered journaling and photos with tabs and flaps. I used the clear, circle embellishments from the Winter Twilight Modern Memory Keeping Kit as tabs to encourage the flip of each tag/layer. I love how the black and white photos allow the alpha stickers to pop off the page. A fun, interactive way to highlight December stories and include journaling with photos on a clean, uncluttered page.     Have you tried adding interactive elements to your traveler‚Äôs notebook spreads?¬†Share with us by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media or posting to the Cocoa Daisy Fan Page.
