Hello, friends!
We are kicking off this week with some memory planning inspiration. Whether you are hitting the road or relaxing at home, the Wayfarer Collection is just the thing you'll to document your weeks!
Renee Senchyna: Road Trip Documenting
The embellishments from this month’s Wayfarer Collection were perfect to document our recent road trip. When I create a layout in my memory planner I always like to start with my photos first. I decide which photos I want to include, size them in my PicFrame app, then print them to my Canon Selphy Printer.
Once all of my photos were adhered to my planner I created 2 flip-ups for the days that I had too many photos. To create the flip-up I adhered my photo(s) to the bottom corner of a piece of white cardstock, folded the paper over then cut the flip-up to the size I needed. I like to leave the piece underneath a little bit longer than the top so I have room to add a tab to hold the flip-up closed.
Next, I added the ‘Road Trip” 4x6 filler card from the Wayfarer Modern Memory Keeping Kit to the left side of the layout to act as a title card for my page. I added the chevron cardstock sticker from the Wayfarer Classified: Memory Keeping Kit to the top of the card to add a bit of dimension. I used clear matte tape to adhere the card to my page – I cut the tape the length of the card then placed half of the tape along the left side of the card then wrapped the other half around the back side of the paper. The tape works like a hinge and allows the card to open and close easily.
Once all of my embellishments were down I added my journaling. I measured out the size of the text boxes that I needed for each space and then used Illustrator to create and fill the text boxes. I printed it out on clear matte sticky paper, cut it to size then added it to my layout.
Ashley Horton: Summer Travels
The new Wayfarer Collection is great for documenting Summer! We just happened to have gone on a road trip during the first week of June, so I knew all of the travel-themed products in the Wayfarer Modern Memory Keeping Kit would be great for documenting it in my Memory Planner.
I started by stamping all of my dates but accidentally stamped March instead of May. I fixed it by covering the dates with label stickers and re-stamping the correct date. Easy fix!! I chose ink pads that matched the colors in the Kit, which included Faded Jeans, Speckled Egg, and Festive Berries Distress Oxide Inks.
When I am adding my photos, I like to leave room for embellishments and stamping. So when I have a week that includes a lot of photos, I try to create flip-ups or pockets to add them. I have one pocket and two flip-ups for this week. I love that the interactive elements give you more room for extra photos and journaling.
For the finishing touches, I cut up some of the 3x4 journaling cards from the Wayfarer Modern Memory Keeping Kit to use in different spots. And, I also used some of the run-ons (my favorite) and stickers to complete my week. Check out this Instagram Reel to see this spread come together!
Veronica: Memory Planning for a laid-back week.
Hello Crafty Friends!! Today I have a fun memory planning layout. I used the Wayfarer Collection to document the first full week of June! Summer is here and this kit is all about waves and sand and summer!
I loved the stamps in the Wayfarer Modern Memory Keeping Kit. So I stamped on the sticky post in light pink. I also used the Summer and labels stamp on the right side.
This week was a slow-paced one, as my kids were finally home for summer vacation. One of my favorite things to do when I have fewer photos for the week is to fill the planner spots in with labels and quotes.
Here are some helpful fun tips to fill in empty spots:
create titles with stitched alpha stickers,
cut 3x4 cards down to size and place them in the rectangles,
stamp numbers and create large lists over oxide ink
create clusters of handmade embellishments such as that cute ice cream with an enamel dot.
fill all the spaces with cute tags and labels till your heart is content!
Happy crafting!
