Making Mini Books and Cards with Your Cocoa Daisy Kits!

Making Mini Books and Cards with Your Cocoa Daisy Kits!
Hello, friends! This season brings with it so many great opportunities to document special moments. Between Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the Winter Holidays, you are sure to have enough to fill a mini-book. There are also so many great documenting challenges during, too. And while a mini-book is a great format for sharing cherished memories, making and sending cards is a great way to connect with loved ones. For those we can meet with face to face, a card is always a lovely way to say "I'm thinking about you". We have a great post today with our Creative Team sharing a few ideas for creating mini books and cards. We are all heart eyes for Jil's gorgeous tag dividers for her mini-album. "I used the Gather Collection to make divider tags for a gratitude documented mini book I am planning. The album will probably be ring-bound, so I will punch holes in these and insert them to mark the beginning of each week in November.   The tags from the Gather Classified: Memory Keeping Kit feature a large leaf made with the stencil in the same kit. On each tag, I stamped the number of the week with the wonderful number stamps in the Gather Modern Memory Keeping Kit. My design features the washi tape from the kit, stamps along the right edge, and a paper collage along the bottom. The collages include patterned paper punched with a linked circle punch. I loved repeating elements but changing up the look slightly! My final photo shows the backs of the cards, which I created with mixed media in the colors of the Gather Collection, more washi tape, and a 4x6 card cut to fit the back of one tag. I'm happy to have these ready to organize and inspire my November gratitude project!"   As Jennie demonstrates, there were so many perfect elements in the Umber & Gold Collection for card making.¬†
"I was so in love with the Umber & Gold color palette that I wanted to use this collection for some easy, handmade cards. This time of year is perfect for sending them to those loved ones!
My first card was wholly inspired by the seam binding ribbon included in the Umber & Gold Classified Memory Keeping Kit. I was so in love with how pretty it was and really wanted it to shine! Therefore, keeping the rest of the design simple was important. Easy to do with this pocket card - it was perfect!
The second card was inspired by falling leaves. Literally! I wanted the leaf die cuts to appear as if the were floating off the branches and pooling on the ground. Except, in this case, the pocket cards are my tree!
I loved the Umber & Gold Collection for fall - such a beautiful take on the changing seasons!"
We are loving Carol's funky mini-album created with the Umber & Gold Collection.
"The white rings found in the Umber & Gold Modern Memory Keeping Kit screamed mini album to me! For lots of texture and interaction, I used this kit and the Umber & Gold Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to include a variety of elements including pocket cards, adhesive pockets, tags, papers, chipboard and die cuts. This chunky mini-book was used to document a week in my life and I love how it turned out. Check out the video below to see me flip through this little cutie!"
