Happy Friday!
Repeated shapes are a great and simple way to add interest to your memory keeping layouts. One of the most popular shapes currently is the hexagon and our design team is spotlighting them today. Let’s start with Casie’s Happy Planner 2020 intro design.
“New year, new chances, new introduction page for my 2020 memory planner! For starters, I love purple and the quote on this pocket card spoke to me immediately!”
“I was inspired to create a hexagon quilt like layout to display my favorite pocket card among the beautiful patterned papers. I used my hexagon punch & arranged them to have contrasting colors near each other with black pops in between.”
“I love the end result and know this will be motivating to me each time I open up my planner to document our days!”
Beautiful! Next we have a journal layout by Melina.
‚ÄúHello all! I‚Äôm excited to be on the blog today showing you my 2020 bucket list! These are the things I would love to accomplish this year. I‚Äôll keep this traveler‚Äôs notebook in my standard cover all year and reference back to it when an item is accomplished. The first 6 items are already planned! The first 4 are already paid for! Yay! #16, well, we‚Äôll see. ü§£
I love this Noted collection! Purple is a favorite of mine and when you mix that with cameras and cacti then I’m hooked! This Simple Dori is amazing!”
”The left page is all set up ready for my listing! I love the die cuts too. That page was finished quickly! The grid pages make it easy for you to make the page your own.“
“The hexagon shapes are cut from the kit papers using an old punch in my stash. I added a stock photo printed with my HP Sprocket Plus mini printer. I love the block alphas in this collection too! And instead of writing “list” myself, I cut it out from the notepad in the kit. Use it all I say! This spread came together really effortlessly with the Cocoa Daisy kits. I hope you got your hands on this fabulous collection!”
Our final design share today is a TN layout by Sabrina.
“Hi this is Sabrina! I had fun putting together a hexagon themed travelers notebook spread.
I decided to jump right into documenting 2020 by using my first selfie of the year and using the Noted Travelers Notebook Kit. I also decided my design was going to be hexagons across the spread at a diagonal. I knew that the 6 x 8 pattern papers would give me lots of color and add lots of fun to my overall design.
I added in some diecuts and enamel dots to create more visual movement and different places for your eye to focus.
I love how this page came together and hexagons are such an awesome shape to add to your projects. I also love how I was able to start off this new year with time to myself! One of the best ways to start the year!
Thanks so much for looking at my project! I hope this inspires you to try adding hexagons to your projects!”
