Lovely Layering in your Planner: Elizabeth Jorgenson

Hello friends! It's Elizabeth from @thejoyfulsojourn on Instagram and YouTube, sharing how I used the Flutterby Stationery Kit and Flutterby Stamp Subscription to set up a weekly planning spread in my horizontal Hemlock & Oak planner. Today it’s all about LAYERS!

I used a variety of different mediums this week, layering stickers with washi, stamps, and die cuts – don’t be afraid to mix textures and layer them up, they only add more intrigue, beauty, and uniqueness (just like you!). I like to layer and group decorative items in sets of 3 or 5, odd numbers are always best!

I love horizontal planners with the week on one page because the right page is open for interpretation – whatever I need that page to be, I can make it so! I opted for lots of layers in the bottom section, laying down a ripped piece of velum and lots of stickers to frame out the ‘currently’ box. I don’t have a ton of tasks for the week, so I wanted to leave the page less formatted for a proper braindump.

The postcard from the stationery kit had such a cool vintage vibe; it needed some action! I cut it down to size, stole the stamp set from the Flutterby Deluxe Journaling kit, and created a ‘currently’ box for the week. The layers and clustering are so lovely!

The Flutterby Stamp Subscription is a win for me this month! Who doesn’t love an alpha set?! And stamp subbies who receive the September theme will be VERY happy to see the font return for days of the week! I used the stamp set to spell out “NOTED” for my header – with all the extra flourishes from this month’s theme, a simple sans-serif black test is a win!

I hope my decorated planner inspires you to get more creative in your organizational systems! I know it’s been a game-changer for me.
